"Morocco continues to assiduously have close cooperation and constructive dialogue with international authorities and bodies working in the area of human rights."

King Mohammed said Morocco had made a proposal for the adoption of an international declaration on education and training in the area of culture of human rights and a resolution presented about the role of the Ombudsman and mediation institutions in the promotion and protection of human rights.

He stressed the importance of the promotion of economic, social, cultural and environmental rights, which are given priority by Morocco. "That is why we have placed on top of our concerns the fight against poverty, exclusion, ignorance and illiteracy," he said.
