Wife of His Majesty the King and Chairwoman of the Supreme Council for Women Shaikha Sabeeka bint Ibrahim Al Khalifa received today Assistant Undersecretary for Culture and National Heritage at the Information Ministry Shaikha Mai bint Mohammed Al Khalifa.

Shaikha Sabeeka congratulated Shaikha Mai on the occasion of Bahrain’s election to the global heritage committees membership, hailing Shaikha mai’s efforts in preserving Bahraini heritage and stressing the need to support the culture and heritage sectors development and restoration programmes of old forts and historical houses.

Shaikha Sabeeka also lauded Bahrain’s international heritage- preservation reputation which is the outcome of serious cooperation between ministries, government and private institutions.
